I hope that the summer months have been enjoyable for you and your families. In June, I wrote to you about how COVID-19 was impacting Croatoan, including classes, concerts, and festivals. At that time, it was difficult to make decisions regarding the resumption of classes and the possibility of a fall concert. Today, I am happy to share with you the latest information.
Registration will Open for the 2020/2021 Season
Croatoan will resume classes in September. The 2019/2020 season will conclude and we will begin taking registrations for the 2020/2021 season starting today. At this time, only tambura classes are being offered. To start, classes will take place in a virtual environment.
Registration is not open for kolo groups at this time. We hope to hold registration and resume kolo classes sometime in the new year, if we can ensure a safe environment to do so.
Registration will take place entirely online at www.croatoan.ca/registration. This page has all the information you need and guides you through the registration process. Registration will be open until October 31st, 2020. To facilitate an online-only registration, registrants can choose to pay by credit and debit card (no fees) in addition to Interac e-Transfer and cheque.
We hope to offer in-person classes when it is safe to do so. A committee has been created composed of teachers and council members to establish strict safety protocols that, in addition to Ottawa Public Health rules, will guide us in our approach to offering in-person classes in the St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Parish Hall. Questions and comments can be directed to the committee by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate the efforts of our dedicated teachers who have signed on to continue teaching this season. I am sure this continuity will be valued by many of our participants.
The tentatively scheduled fall concert, that was supposed to replace our 42nd Annual Spring Concert, has been cancelled. We look forward to being able to hold our next concert the first weekend of May 2021.
We thank you in advance for your continued support of Croatoan. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
Stay healthy and happy,
NCRCFE Croatoan, Ottawa
